Volcano Ascends at Atacama Desert in Chile is one of the few places in the world where you can reach heights from 5.500 mts to more than 6.700 m.s.n.m in countless mountains, without big technical difficulties and accompanied always with impressive landscapes and good weather all year round. We offer this Volcano Ascends for active people that want to experience impressive views of The Andes Mountain Range and try the experience of a Volcano ascend at Atacama Desert in high altitude.
Choose between Sairecabur, Licancabur, Lascar or Toco Volcanoes. There is no doubt that hitting the summit and watching the same god of the Sun the Incas would watch from above is a unique experience. Up there, everything is seen from a different point of view, even the very small city of San Pedro. The very same point of view from where, for thousands of years, the Licancabur and the sun have watched the Atacameños, the Incas, the Spaniards and, today, tourists from all over the world.
The Lascar Volcano ascend isn’t 100% confirmed due to an eruption on 2022. Lascar, in the north of the country, is 70km from San Pedro de Atacama, a popular tourist destination for trekking and visits to the Atacama Desert, the driest place on Earth.
Despite the giant cloud of smoke that Lascar emitted – comprising volcanic ash and hot gases – no homes are thought to have been damaged. Authorities have set up a no-entry perimeter 5km from the volcano’s crater.
