A Day in the Vines – We arrived in Santiago in early February 2026. We wanted an outstanding Chilean Wine experience. We chose Eco Tours (Cristian) to show us Vina Vik and Vina Montes – premium… read more wine tastings and vineyard tours – together with a long lunch at Fuegos de Apalta (Mallmann). The right choice. Our driver was knowledgeable, careful, and engaging. These two are sensational vineyards. The wine is outstanding. (The La Piu Belle blend & the Purple Angel blend are just 2 to mention. Love the Carmenere grape.) Vineyard staff were very engaging and passionate. Lunch was excellent. Beautiful restaurant with an indoor grill and panoramic views across the vines. The four of us had a fantastic day. This was an excellent private tour.

Excellent private tour, well organized with a great driver/ guide  – This is a review for a private wine tour we did in the Colchagua valley at Vik & Montes with a stop at Clos Apalta at the end.

Our driver/ guide Matias Carrasco was superb and provided us with a host of knowledge and details on the wine regions and specific insider info on the wineries we were visiting ( I am quite knowledgeable on the wine industry) along with other subjects during the almost 5 hours we spend with him in the car.

The tours went off perfectly- at Montes it was private, just the two of us ( this was just luck ) and at Vik a group of 8.

A highlight was the lunch at Fuego de Apalta, a Francis Mallman restaurant nestled amongst the Montes vineyard vines, one of the finest meals of our entire trip.

I worked with the owner, Cristian to set this up and he delivered perfectly, especially by assigning us Matias. A memorable day.

Custom Bike and Hike tour from Puerto Varas to Pucon – A few years ago we did a bike trip with Ecotours in the Colchagua Valley and enjoyed it so much that we didn’t hesitate to contact Cristian again to help… read more plan a custom hike/bike trip in the Lake and Volcano District. We did 9 days of hiking and biking with a private guide/driver for half the cost of some of the big international cycling companies. Everything was perfect from the booking and paying via bank transfer to the routes, scenery and hotels. Our guide/driver Juan Pablo was friendly, polite and very eager to make sure we saw as much as possible and had a great time. We also did a one day hike and winery trip from Santiago with Daniel driving us. A great way to spend an extra day in Santiago! I wouldn’t hesitate to book another trip with Ecotours. Cristian responds promptly to email, is trustworthy and is very knowledgeable about travel anywhere in Chile.

Great views! Great guides!  – We did an 11-day bicycle tour of the Lakes and Volcanoes Region of Chile. We have done many bike trips over the last two decades on six continents, and… read more this was one of the best, if not the best. The scenery was fantastic, with so many volcanoes, beautiful lakes, waterfalls, unusual birds, and very tall and very old trees. The roads (many of them new) were smooth and lightly-trafficked, and the E-bikes were very comfortable and user-friendly, and were perfect for some of the longer climbs. And the guides were very personable, knowledgeable about all things Chilean, and very responsive to our needs and desires.

Amazing Time!  – We had a fantastic time on this custom private tour of the Colchagua Valley. Ecotours went above and beyond and delivered excellent service every step of the way. Highly recommend!

The guides in the Atacama, Daniel and Lautoro, were amazing as well. They knew the area inside and out and took us to so many special places that no one else knew about. The tours generally included a hike (of varying degrees of difficulty) and ended with specially prepared spread. We travel a lot and this trip is one of the best we’ve ever taken. Do not hesitate to book with them! We’re already looking forward to going back to Chile and touring Patagonia with them 🙂
