Winter W Trek Torres del Paine 5 days is the ultimate experience. If you’re lucky enough to be in Torres Del Paine in winter, this is a great option to trek the three main valleys of the W trail, far away from the crowd!
We stay 3 nights in a mountain hut and one in a cabin, visiting the three main valley of the park: the impressive Glacier Grey, hanging glaciers at the French Valley and hiking to the lookout point of the towers on a trail cover by a thin layer or snow.
Declared the Eighth Wonder of the World and a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, the Paine Massif is known as one of the most beautiful mountains on the planet. Formed around 12 million years ago, this geologic work of art is a magnet for trekking and climbing aficionados, making it the third most-visited park in Chile.

LODGING
Mountain Lodge (Refugio) Paine Grande
– All mountain lodges used by us for our trips are located in strategic places in the park and with fantastic views. There are 6 beds to each room (bunk-bed style) and have shared bathrooms with hot water.
Paine Grande is a large and modern refugio set on the banks of the Lake Pehoe, including internet connection and full service bar. It’s the jump off point for the catamaran crossing Lake Pehoe and the walks to the French and Grey Valleys part of the “W” and “Circuit” hikes.
Tyndall Cabins
– Centrally located at the shore of the Serrano river and at the Torres del Paine park border, it affords guests an amazing view of the Paine Mountain Range. The cabins have 2 rooms, one of them with either twin or matrimonial beds with private bathroom, the other with twin beds with shared bathroom. It has central heating and a terrace where you will be able to enjoy a relaxing end to the day or simply admire the scenery.
WEATHER
The weather in Patagonia in an important factor that must be taken into account. The maximum temperature in summer is 20 C° and it drops to below 0° in winter. The wind-chill factor sometimes makes the ambient temperature drop 6 or 7 degrees. The temperature of the water is normally between 4 and 5 degrees Celsius..
