Culinary De Luxe Experience is a superb experience. The Colchagua Valley is one of the world’s premier wine tourist destinations. Known for its beautiful vineyard covered hills, hundred year old vines, enchanting colonial estate houses and modern high tech wineries, sets up a perfect atmosphere to enjoy a day trip from Santiago city.
Located in the southern half of the Rapel Valley, the Colchagua Valley has evolved over the last twenty years from being a calm stretch of farmland to becoming one of the largest and most active wine-producing regions in the country. The relatively low altitude of the coastal hills allows the Pacific breeze to mingle with the Andean winds, which cools the valley and prolongs the maturation period of the region. This is advantageous for the preservation of acidity in the grapes, and helps to generate red wines with excellent coloring, great freshness, and very good keeping qualities. The large majority of wine produced here is red, with a particular propensity for the production of Carmenere, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot. Although, the newer plantations close to the coast have also proven to be a region with great potential for cool-climate white wines.

Depart at 08:00 from your Hotel in Santiago and drive for 2,30 hrs to Colchagua Valley arriving to Viña Los Maquis for Tour + wine tasting of their Icon wines.
Enjoy a guided tour through one of our biological corridors and vineyards, alongside one of the rivers that encircles the premises, where you will discover part of the history and style of production of our wines. The tour ends with a tasting of a refreshing Rosé, two iconic Maquis wines, currently distributed by the prestigious Place de Bordeaux in France, and an iconic wine from Calcu, with an interesting proposition of a more mineral and fresh style for high-end Cabernet Sauvignon in Chile.

– At 13:00 hrs you’ll be able to enjoy a superb culinary experience with the prestigious Chilean Chef Pilar Rodriguez.
In her open-kitchen studio at Viu Manent, renowned chef Pilar Rodríguez shows and shares her passion for cooking and for wine in her famous sessions that include food and wine pairing menus and cooking classes. All in the wonderful environment where your senses can develop and really experience the alchemy and passion for food.
A cuisine that shows the country’s products in an intimate, delicate and sensitive way.
Where each dish reflects the complicity between environment, landscape and flavor; or the producer and the pots in his kitchen.
You’ll be able to enjoy a 7 course menu accompanied by great chilean local wines on a unique paring.
We have added on the lunch the cost of the tip already.
PD: Guests will have to pay for any extras like water, juice, soda, coffee, etc.
Once lunch ends, you’ll drive back to Santiago and we’ll drop you off at your Hotel.
