Chile Wine Experience Tour on Central Valleys (6 DAYS)

Our staff will welcome you at Santiago de Chile airport and transfer you to your Hotel.
On the afternoon, we’ll start a city tour in Santiago, visiting some of the best attractions that this
modern and clean city offers. We’ll make a stop at an old neighborhood restaurant, were you’ll
taste a glass of wine and talk about Santiago’s history. We’ll continue visiting central market and
all downtown area. The city tour will end on San Cristobal Hill lookout point where you’ll taste
another glass of wine, enjoying an incredible view of the city. Afterwards, we’ll enjoy a welcome
dinner at one of the best wine orientated restaurant in town.

Today we’ll head from your hotel at 09:00 hrs towards Maipo Valley. Famous known for its
Cabernet Sauvignon, we’ll visit a classic old school winery and a boutique one, Santa Rita and
Perez Cruz.
The natural conditions of the Maipo Alto Valley for the production of red wines, led Perez Cruz to
choose the best varieties for its terroir. The 140 hectares of vines are planted with Cabernet
Sauvignon, Carmenére, Merlot, Syrah, Malbec and Petit Verdot. The principal aim of Perez Cruz
Vineyard is to produce fine wines, with a proper identity but that expressed all the qualities of the
Maipo Alto, the cradle of the Chilean premium wines.
We will tour around the vines and the production building including a tasting of two wines.
Afterwards, we’ll continue to Santa Rita winery for tour and wine tasting of a Medalla Real
Cabernet Sauvignon, a Chardonnay and a Sauvignon Blanc.
Our lunch will be at a local restaurant where you’ll be able to enjoy traditional dishes and some
great wine.
Our last stop will be at Cousiño Macul winery for tour and wine tasting.
At the afternoon, we’ll start driving back from Maipo Valley to your hotel in Santiago and for
tonight dinner will be on your own. Ask our guide about options for having dinner in many
restaurants that are located at walking distance from your hotel.

After early breakfast, we’ll depart at 08:00 hrs towards Aconcagua Valley, at the foothills of the
Andes Mountain Range. Our first stop will be San Esteban Winery, where you’ll learn every process
of wine making on a guided tour, ending with a taste 4 In Situ wines, including the award-winning
blend Laguna Del Inca.
Next, we’ll go to an artisan’s house where we’ll know about his art and history. Here, we’ll enjoy a
glass of wine and be able to buy some local handmade souvenir or to experience creating your
own pottery.
We have chosen famous Errazuriz winery to do our next tour and enjoy a pairing. On tour you’ll be
able to walk by vineyards talking viticultural issues in depth. After this, we’ll experience an
amazing pairing, followed by a four course lunch, which includes three wine pairings from their
Max Reserva and Specialty lines.
Once our visit to Errazuriz winery ends we’ll lodge at Hotel Inca, located in Los Andes town, where
you’ll have time to relax in the pool before enjoying dinner.

After breakfast we’ll head to Casablanca Valley, experiencing an unforgettable day.
Our first stop will be at Emiliana Organic Winery, enjoying a complete Organic & Biodynamic
experience, during which you will learn about this special type of agriculture, why this project is
unique in Chile and the ways in which they focus on the highest quality of wine.
The tour will end with a wine tasting of 4 wines: Novas Sauvignon Blanc, Novas Winemaker’s
Selection Chardonnay/Marsanne/Viognier, Novas Winemaker’s Selection Syrah/Mourvedre and
famous Coyam.

Afterwards, we will continue our tour to House of Morandé Restaurant. In order to receive the
lovers of wine and good eating, Viña Morandé open a gastronomic centre and its restaurant offers
first class cuisine accompanied by their best wines. It is the perfect place to do a wine pairing. The
building is a glass-and-wood indoor dining area and pleasant patio dining overlooking a grassy
expanse and grapevines .The well-balanced menu features lots of great food and we will try their
wine varieties over lunch.
At last, we’ll head to Matetic winery, where we’ll do a tour and wine tasting, followed by a dinner
accompanied with great Matetic wines.

After enjoying breakfast at Matetic, we’ll head to Colchagua Valley, the most famous and
recognized wine valley in Chile.
Our first stop will be at MontGras winery, which has always had state-of-the-art technology in all
its processes, set out from its conception to be the winery with the best premium wines from
Chile. It is no accident then, the great amount of international prizes that have recognized the
professional work, the constant quality and the innovation of MontGras wines. We’ll tour their
facilities and enjoy a wine tasting of 3 wines accompanied with some canapés.
For lunch, we’ll visit Viu Manent winery where you will enjoy a full rounded experience with Viu
Manent wines. In a vintage horse drawn carriage, you will go through the winery, vineyards, cellars
and La Llaveria, an XXth century Estate that faithfully illustrates Chilean epoch architecture. As well you’ll enjoy wine tasting by the wine vat and return to La Llaveria for the reserve wine tasting.
For lunch, we’ll go to their restaurant where the path of tradition, innovation, excellence and the
distinguishing style of cooking is well known in the region, enjoying a perfect pairing.
Then we will continue our tour to the best sub-valley of Colchagua, from where come the best
premium wines of Chile “Apalta Valley”, visiting our last winery called Viña Montes, their property
the La Finca de Apalta is located in the middle of the renowned Apalta Valley.
Viña Montes invites you to leave the world behind and experience a unique and unforgettable
tour through vegetation that is typical of central Chile on a nature path complete with panoramic
views. While out in the vineyards you can enjoy a view of the steep hillsides (with a more than 45-
degree incline) and natural environment that is representative of central Chile where they produce
the best grapes for our Montes Alpha M, Montes Folly and Purple Angel wines. Inside the
“bodega” you can observe the gravitational system that they use to move the wines; their tours
offer an opportunity to learn more about terroir by tasting a fine selection of their wines and
visiting the winery and vineyards.
At night we’ll enjoy a dinner on Colchagua top restaurant that offers Italian food with Chilean
influence, walking distance from your hotel.

After breakfast we’ll visit the Santa Cruz museum and then head to Clos de Apalta winery, located
at Casa Lapostolle residence. This revolutionary winery is solely dedicated to the production of
Casa Lapostolle’s world-class icon wine, Clos de Apalta. The winery is 100% gravity-fed spanning
five levels, three of which are buried into the granite of the Apalta hillside to provide a natural cool
temperature environment for cellaring and ageing. This rare vertical design allows the wine to flow
naturally downward during every stage of the production, eliminating the need to pump, which
can adversely affect the subtle flavors of the wine.
Grapes are hand-harvested and brought to the highest level of the winery where they will be 100%
hand-destemmed, a labor intensive technique performed by only very few wineries throughout
the world. Fermentation takes place in 21 small French wooden vats which size corresponds to a
parcel of our Apalta vineyard.
You will admire a wonderful setting in which wine industry blends perfectly with design. The tour
will take a bit more than an hour, and you will be introduced into the winemaking world; finishing
with a tasting of Casa Lapostolle wines, which will be longing to be a part of your experience.
As well, we’ll enjoy a deluxe lunch at Clos de Apalta winery to end this Chilean wine experience.
At 16:00 hrs aprox we’ll head back to Santiago and drop you off at Santiago airport in time to catch
your plane back home or dropping you off at your Hotel in Santiago.
